Kelly Tantalo LVT, VTS (ECC), ICU Supervisor
I am originally from Phoenix, AZ, have lived in Las Vegas the majority of my life. My first job was working as a kennel assistant in 1999. I started training as a veterinary assistant in a general practice hospital in 2003. I started as a surgery technician for LVVSC in 2006. I graduated from the CSN technician program in 2007 where I obtained my license. I worked as a license technician for surgery for about 3 years where I was transferred to the new opthalmology department with Dr. Weinstein and helped get it up and running. After 2 years , I started helping out in emergency and critical care. I really enjoyed the challenges and variety that were brought to me in this department so I decided to start working fulltime for VE+CC. I applied for my emergency and critical care specialty license in 2012 and passed my test in 2013 in San Diego, California. I’ve been a part of VE+CC for just over 4 years working as a specialty emergency and critical care technician and overseeing the department as the supervisor. I am an animal lover myself owning many of my own pets who mean the world to me. In my free time, I love to be adventurous. There is never a dull moment from skydiving to scuba diving. I love to travel whenever I get a chance to do so.
